The Story Behind the Studio

Grown from a Mother's Garden

Studio Hábil began on September 21, 2013, when founder Marvz Conti — who spent his childhood watching his mother cultivate plants in their garden — discovered moss while decorating a handmade calendar. That serendipitous moment became a decade-long obsession.

"Living in the city can be quite draining so I thought of making something that would remind us to take a minute and be mindful of the present."
— Marvz Conti, Founder

The name "Hábil" draws from the Latin habilitate — meaning ability and skills — a celebration of the work of human hands. What began as Hábil Crafts grew into Studio Hábil as the scope expanded beyond retail into full-scale interior installations.
